Hi, I’m Marissa
L.Ac., EAMP, MAc.EAM
As a partner in your health journey, I bring over a decade of medical experience, guided by a deep lifelong passion for holistic healing. My practice is rooted in personalized care that evolves to meet your unique needs, honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I deeply believe in the body's innate ability to heal, and work with my patients to support this process through acupuncture and various Chinese medicine modalities and diagnostics.
During my education, I was exposed to many different approaches to Chinese medicine. My education at SIEAM was not based on using protocols or solely traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics, which tends to be taught at many schools. My training was apprentice-style, where we learned a vast array of acupuncture techniques, palpatory assessments, and other diagnostic assessments. This means I am equipped with a diverse toolbox from which to approach patients.
I tend towards a combination of off-the-body palpatory sensing, and a hands-on palpatory based approach. Both of these methods, in conjunction with information gleaned during our verbal conversations, allow a deeper communication and understanding of how to best support your health and respond more fluidly to the requirements of patients’ Qi in a true dialogue.
